Can you post a traceroute to bbc.co.uk from the command prompt?
These website based pings can be misleading.

Even BT test says 84 ping  
TBH honest andyH am getting sick of testing tracerts , pings , to show PN there is a problem at peak times

BT speedtester latency test is measured using http last time I checked.

For me, the BTw Speed Tester is about 10x higher than my actual latency.
The reason I ask for a traceroute or ping test from the command prompt is to rule out browser issues.

If you keep doing gateway hops does it not mess up your speeds eventually.

You just hop and hope that the first time that you get a good gateway (as in good for you).
Works for me (although I'm on FTTP but still have speed issues when connected to gateway's with BNG in their names)
You are only disconnecting the session to Plusnet in the router , never the modem so you line sync to the cabinet is unaffected.

Just played a round of BF4 , apart from the latency warning ingame my ping was up and down like a yoyo not dropping below 48

I do believe PN gateway are the problem as other isp's not reported no issues. Getting fed up with it now.

I would also be getting fed up with running speed tests around the clock   TBB should start charging for them, it would be a goldmine
