BBSpeed Slower the TalkTalk

Hi All,
My BB speed is dropping.  According to your email, my estimated line speed is 35Mbps to 55.1Mbps, but current line speed is 32.4Mbps.  Just ran a test, down to 26 Mbps.  This is slower than my old provider, TalkTalk and the reason I changed to PlusNet!  Please crank the speed back up.

I have just upgraded to a static IP (for my webcams) and rebooted the router.  I ran http://www.speedtest.net/ and got a fairly steady connection speed at 28Mbps.  A bit off from the plusnet estimate and measurement.

Could it be you are being supplied with the wrong product?
The up to 38 Mb rather the up to 76 Mb.
My line will not support the faster one so I have the up to 38 Mb.

No, the product is correct

You are on the lower of the 2 fibre products, so you won't see any speeds higher than 40Mbps. Having said that, you should be syncing at more than you're currently getting.
Your line does seem to be disconnecting several times a day:

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the data records.  I know that my max. product speed is 40Mbps.  My own tests report 28Mbps, sometimes steady and often very up and down.  I was hoping for a steady, reliable 35Mbps+.  Also, the throughput can be somewhat slow.  That is, waiting for a known good site to respond but the little wheel just keeps spinning.
The phone line is very quiet and phone calls are fine, no problems.
I've tried the rebooting, etc.  What do we do now?
