Hi there,
I live in a terrace house and my wi-fi signal is deteriorating. I think one of my neighbours has hub boosters as there seems to be 4 or 5 routers connected (according to my wifi Analyzer.) The Plusnet Hub only allows up to Channel 13 - whereas channel 14 etc are much better options.
Do alternative Hubs have a greater range - or are channel numbers unrelated to the make of router?
(i've switched off 5Ghz as it seemed to make things worse on all my 2.4 Ghz devices.)
Cheers
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Sorry - delete this. I found the answer on another thread. Channels limited by band whichever router.

Good morning!
Apologies for the response times and sorry to hear this is still an issue.
All civilian based routers operate on 13 channels when it comes to the 2.4Ghz frequency. Channel 14 is for MOD and emergency service purposes only.
Some routers will have different chip-sets within them that transmit a broader signal.
I'm glad that you managed to find your answers via an alternative thread.
Kind regards,
JARVIS
