Hi,
Is it normal to have a large difference in attainable and actual rate in the download speed on VDSL connections?
The Plusnet current line speed gives me 56.2 mb, I guess that's the same as the actual DS rate below?

I have seen it happen before but it's not a common occurrence.
Your current DLM profile is "0.128M-60M Downstream, Interleaving High - 0.128M-20M Upstream, Error Protection Off" which is why your sync speed isn't any higher then what it is and in addition you have a high level of interleaving on your line.
At the moment you're just below your estimate but there might not be much we can do.

Thank you for checking that info for me. Is the interleaving likely to be caused by something that I can change?

Interleaving can be added for any number of reasons but it can take time to remove I'm afraid.
You can raise this to our Faults team if you'd like but they may not be able to do anything.
If you want to do this the link is https://faults.plus.net
