Hi, I think downloads from Apple servers/Apple CDN are going 4-5 times slower than they should on Plusnet, or at least on my Plusnet connection.
These are used for things like iOS updates and firmwares: e.g
http://www.redmondpie.com/download-ios-8.1.3-links-for-iphone-and-ipad/I get around 12-20Mb/s on Plusnet. I know that on BT retail and Sky connections I access, line speed at around 74Mb/s is consistently achieved (and we are well outside of a freshly released iOS version).
It appears Plusnet is downloading from defra1-vip-sx-005.aaplimg.com (name suggests intended for Germany & France?), and routing via Germany. I know on BT retail, it always downloads from uklon5-vip-sx-005.aaplimg.com, if this assists (I believe the last numbers 005 change randomly with server allocation).
