I changed to Plusnet from Sky on 6th August, and although both iPads and iPads are fine, my MacBook only has to be on for 10 minutes before the router crashes! Today the tech team admitted that there is an incompatibility issue with Plus net and Apple as below:-
Thank you for getting back to us.
Sending an older version of the router use would not help as it still uses the same firmware as our new routers.
This is purely a compatibility issue on both Apples and our own router, the reason why it crashes your computer is due to IPV6 being enabled and the macbook looking to connect via this instead of IPV4.
If you turn off IPV6 inside your macbooks you'll have no issues connection to the router.
I have once again explained that I've done that, and also stopped the channels from syncing and remained the 5Ghz channels, all to no avail. I feel that Plus net should make it clear that there is an issue with Apple before the contract is finalised, as I now have a sub standard service as I can't use my laptop at home! It's ridiculous!
Has anyone managed to end the contract due to failure to provide a service?

Have you done this in terminal?
networksetup -setv6off Ethernet && networksetup -setv6off Wi-Fi

The command is networksetup
-setv6off is the parameter
What version of OS X are you running?
If you quickly do
networksetup -listallnetworkservices
that will show whether there's a problem with the service names.
If you only have wireless, simply do
networksetup -setv6off Wi-Fi
and you should be sorted.
