Shortly prior to my change to Plusnet I will receive a Plusnet router which it seems from posts here will be a TG582 Technicolor which most of you do not think highly of.
From my many years with Be I have in my loft a Be 585, TG587n and a BeBox V2 all from Thomson/Technicolor I would think.
As I'm presently with Sky and using their Hub SR102 and everyone describes the Wi-Fi as the worst ever but it is doing ok for me comparing the Wi-Fi is not applicable, but I would like to have advise if any of my 3 ex-Be units will give higher sync. speeds than the Plusnet TG582 on Fibre?
(The TG 587n wasn't on normal issue and was given to selected loyal customers and was suggested a better unit.)
Thanks
David

Subject to correction I think all those are ADSL routers which can only work with fibre - if at all - using the BT modem so the sync speed won't be affected

In that case what makes the Plusnet TG582n different?

You would need to check but the TG582n has one of the LAN ports configured as a WAN port to receive the signal from the BT modem and I have no idea if the ones you mention have that capability
