Hi
I recently upgraded from ADSL to fibre unlimited (40Mb/10Mb). A rough average speed test on Chrome, using a MacBook Air on the BT Wholesale site, tests give me 37.1Mbs down and 9.5Mbs up. On WiFi as i don't have an ethernet connection.
Which i'm obviously pleased with.
Even if I had a an ethernet connection, just wondering what the absolute maximum speed is possible?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Hi @amarshe
37.1 Mb down and 9.5 Mb up are about the maximum throughput speed for a 40 Mbps / 10 Mbps service.
The 40 / 10 refers to the maximum synch speed between the router and the fibre cabinet.
There are some overheads which reduce the throughput speeds compared to the synch speeds.
Regards
Richard
