Re: Ability to Reset Openreach FTTC Broadband DLM Profiles Arrives

Glad to hear it. Just remember to powered down for at least 30 minutes if you wanna to swap router to avoid DLM. Yes I would knew it will happen that DLM will try Snr 3dB to get your line faster as it could. Smiley

When an IP Profile changes, does it take a while for that speed to be achievable?

SNR is 2.4 now Shocked

Re: Ability to Reset Openreach FTTC Broadband DLM Profiles Arrives

It's take for PN IP to match BT IP within next 12 hours but sometimes take longer than that. Perhaps someone from PN can nudge it up for you. You have to kept an eyes out for SNR don't want to go below 2dB because below that it could end up unstable connection loss.

Re: Ability to Reset Openreach FTTC Broadband DLM Profiles Arrives

If your router sync rate are still at 75020k, BT Bras IP Profile should be set at 72.53Mbps and PN Current Line Speed should be set at 72.5 Mb. But check your router stats and run BT Speed Test again to ensure nothing has changed before checking PN Current Line Speed because it might change due to your DLM testing on your line if stable enough 3dB.

Re: Ability to Reset Openreach FTTC Broadband DLM Profiles Arrives

The lower target SNRM profiles tend to use the "Retransmission High" profile, which results in an IP Profile of about 91% of the sync rate.

Re: Ability to Reset Openreach FTTC Broadband DLM Profiles Arrives

You won't go faster than this. That's the maximum speed you are getting it now with crosstalk, G.INP enabled and SNR 3dB. Unless your cabinet upgraded to g.fast pod soon to get faster for up to 330/50 within 300 metres away from your street cabinet (pcp) if Openreach has planning for your area.

Re: Ability to Reset Openreach FTTC Broadband DLM Profiles Arrives

Hi,

Sorry I haven't replied for a while, I wanted to leave the connection alone for a while to let it settle down.

I have been unable to check the router recently as I since moved out, but before I left I'm pretty sure I was getting around 60-65Mbps which was a great improvement.

I could do with checking it again as before i left I was having some issues with Billion router randomly restarting by itself. I'd be interested to see how often that is happening with another one of those connection log things.

Thank you very much for your time!

No worries.

I'm glad that your speeds have greatly improved.

Here's a copy of your connection over the past 30 days:

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.
