ASUS DSL-N55u Router Problems

Can anyone help getting ASUS DSL-N55U working over PPPOe with the openreach modem.
I have spent ages trying lots of settings but nothing seems to work.
The latest firmware even has an auto setup for PlusNet PPPoE and this does not work either. The WAN connection just does not seem to work.
Shame as this is a great router and the supplied router has pitiful WiFi.

This model is a modem router, not just a router.  Can you disable the modem part?

Hi evora, Later versions of the firmware support using one of the LAN ports as a WAN port. The manual doesn't seem to have been updated to show how it's done though

Try going here and setting it up - http://192.168.1.1/Advanced_WAN_Content.asp
Make sure you're using the username@plusdsl.net as the login username.
