ASUS DSL-AC68U Possible bug latest FW update?

I updated my AC68U firmware to the latest version (3.0.0.4.378_5007) released 14/04/2015, and found that my Down speed reduced by about 10%.
I contacted Asus who felt there could be a bug in the upgrade and advised reinstalling the previous Upgrade (Version  3.0.0.4.376_2187). I found that a bit of a rigmarole and had to factory reset then install the previous update, then reconfigure the AC68U from the beginning. That done, the 10% missing speed returned.

Asus have "form" on cocking up their FW updates. My approach is to leave well alone.

I have the non dsl version and its working ok (so far) with the latest update.
From memory, they had issues with the last update?

No difference with speeds with 3.0.0.4.378_5007. Cheesy

Re: ASUS DSL-AC68U Possible bug latest FW update?

Hence my making the heading a question @Araf
I can only go by my experience and what Asus support said. It knocked me back on speed, I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, but I doubt that makes a difference.
Having been running on the BT modem and PlusNet Router until I changed back to the AC68U, my speed has dropped in the night a couple of Mbps, there was a reset at about 05:00 according to the log, so that damn DLM looks like the culprit.
Switching back to the AC68U, I really appreciate its better ability and functions, there was an immediate gain in speed of about 6% if my maths is right.

It might be significant whether g.inp is enabled on these lines.

Re: ASUS DSL-AC68U Possible bug latest FW update?

It might @jelv but how do we look/test for it?
I had a reply from PlusNet last week that showed both my uplink and downlink to have "High" Interleaving, why would that be?
