ASDL DL Speed and Fibre UL Speed

Hello

I logged into my PN account to check tickets and it says my Current Line speed was around 16 *Friday"  AND checking today "Saturday" it says:-

Your broadband service

  • Product: Unlimited Fibre
  • Estimated Download Range: 31 - 40Mbps
  • Estimated Upload Range: 5 - 7Mbps
  • Minimum Guaranteed Speed: 30.9Mbps
  • Current Line Speed (Download): 16.5Mbps

Speedtest  14.5 DL / 5.3 UL (wifi) AND 15.3 / 5.2 (Ethernet)

Very odd getting ASDL DL speeds and Fibre UL

@catphone

It's not odd at all, low speeds aren't limited to ADSL connections.

You talk about tickets so can we assume that you have already done the basic fault finding tests and reported a fault?

Re: ASDL DL Speed and Fibre UL Speed

@Baldrick1

I've rebooted the HUB ONE via Admin access

Using Ethernet

Tested Speed with BT Wholesale (though post was deleted) with similar results.

I haven't reported it, just posted here as odd that only down steam is affected.

(I was checking account related tickets)

Re: ASDL DL Speed and Fibre UL Speed

@catphone

This profile is determined by the maximum attainable speed so should rise if your sync speed increases. It is not unusual for a fault to affect your download but not your upload speed.

If you have completed the troubleshooter tests and reported the fault then it's a case of awaiting Openreach to look at the fault.
