80/20 Price Increasing soon?

I just aware that BT have rise the price cost of 80/20 broadband along with line rental are now costing £46.99 per month. As Plusnet still the cheaper on 80/20 with line rental at £25.95** per month for the first six months) then thereafter at £35.94** per month for the remaining of 12 months) **price quoted are for Market 3 (low cost area)
But, fearing the worse set to come as Plusnet might be likely to rise the 80/20 product soon but who know?

PN operate independently of BT.
BT have all their 'Extras' (Sport, Wi-Fi etc.) to fund.
I can't see any reason for Plusnet to follow - they're not really competing directly against BT.

My experience is that once BT increase their prices, many of the other ISPs follow suit.

having just signed up for a 2 year deal on 80/20 it will be interesting to see if they do for existing customers as I will then have a get out of jail free card

@Oldjim It's for new customers as I do believe so. As your will be ok. But, if I were u, phone them to be on safe side!

If they 'all' put their prices up (as mentioned above) then where would you jump ship to?
'get out of jail free card' or 'out of the frying pan into the fire'?
Most importantly, let's hope prices don't go up (for existing customers) and Jim doesn't get his card.

why as they haven't announced anything and at present it is only your speculation

Where would you jump to? Perhaps a provider that doesn't have peak time slowdowns

I know it BT but it might leads other isp's to follow suit to rise their broadband price. I just awaiting for Plusnet Staff to confirm if Plusnet set to rise their 80/20 soon or not.

There is absolutely no chance of Plusnet staff confirming a price rise is on the cards in advance of it happening

Ive just come off a 80/20 contract, now on 40/20... Never ever went over 33, so sticking with 40/20 and lower price

^ should be 40/2 not 40/20 as plusnet no longer sold 40/20.
