8.37 down on unlimited fibre! How long until my profile updates?

On the unlimited fibre package and getting some really appalling speeds:

 

8.37 down

6.78 up

 

The BT wholesale test is returning an IP profile of 8.52mbps

 

Did request a profile change over the telephone from customer support, quoted as 72 hours for a change. Is there any way I can get this done a little faster? I'm currently working from home as a software engineer, and due to broken bones, getting to the office isn't an option!

Hi there.

It doesn't look like this is a profile issue.

 

Your router is just in sync at a slow speed.

Sync Status In Sync
Downstream Speed 7.9 Mbps
Upstream Speed 8.5 Mbps

Can you run through the checks here?

Tried running it through the test socket, no change. Also, switched to the VDSL router, no change there, either. Even tried changing the DSL cable.

 

Is there any reason why BT's wholesale line test is showing my IP profile to be 8.45mpbs?

That's because the sync speed is around that.

Though it should be just below the sync rate, not above.

 

Anyway, looks like we'll need to arrange an engineer visit.
