Re: 10mbps speed drop since end July, Anything kicked off in my area?

Oh yeah I know there's no-one there at the moment, but they may catch up on old threads when they come in on Monday.  I reset router and modem and now it's back up to 54.  Just seems to slowly reduce over time.

Hmm, thought it was just me.

Download speedachieved during the test was - 43.97 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 40 Mbps-47.42 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 47.42 Mbps

Upload speed achieved during the test was - 12.37Mbps
 Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 20 Mbps

Has been better though and looking at "estimate" it should be.

Estimated line speed:74Mb (This may vary between 56.3Mb and 74.5Mb) - Checked on 2016-07-30 19:52:00

Current line speed:47.4 Mb

Has anyone seen my signature, it's gone missing.

OK, so things have now improved greatly, which is odd because PN are arranging for me to have another engineer visit.   I shall have to contact them and ask if they have done something, and how long it will stick.

Download speed achieved during the test was - 60.77 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds s 40 Mbps-63.48 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 63.48 Mbps

And then 3 hours later we're back to the usual again.  I think I'm noticing a pattern here.  If I unplug my router/modem and restart it, the speeds (and profile) are back up in the 60s.  After a few hours :

Download speed achieved during the test was - 44.36 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 40 Mbps-46.17 Mbps .
 Additional Information:
IP Profile for your line is - 46.17 Mbps

Re: 10mbps speed drop since end July, Anything kicked off in my area?

Any PN Reps around that can help me with this?  I've got an engineer booked for Monday 19th, but I'm concerned about something he put in the report from his last visit.   He stated "Advised EU poss issue with his laptop?".  But he has not then added that after discussion we tried speedtests with other PCs in my home, all of which were connected directly to the Router via ethernet.

I added this to the Question, and asked if I get get confirmation that this had been taken on board, but nobody replied.  Instead another engineer visit was booked.  I am concerned that this information is being ignored and that the next engineer is going to claim once more that it is my equipment that is at fault and I'm going to find myself arguing over a £50 surcharge.

The last engineer freely admitted that he knew nothing about networking or routers, so when I tried to explain that just because it was a laptop didn't mean it was connected by wifi (it wasn't, it was connected by an ethernet cable), and that all my PCs were connected by ethernet so all speed tests should be valid, it seemed to go over his head.

Re: 10mbps speed drop since end July, Anything kicked off in my area?

Download speedachieved during the test was - 26.4 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speedsis 41.56 Mbps-59.37 Mbps .
 Additional Information:

Mine is also performing poorly, logged as a ticket with support. Are there any support people here able to look at this and comment?

Thanks

Re: 10mbps speed drop since end July, Anything kicked off in my area?

Nothing like waking up a 2 year old thread, but it would appear that I am in the same situation as I was in 2016.  What are my options for getting this investigated?  Here are my results from the BT Wholesale tester.
