Hi,
My Plusnet Unlimited Fibre Extra has activated today and when I signed up to Plusnet, I got this email and was wondering do I need to do the below instructions or just leave the router powered on without disconnecting it?
During the first 10 days of your new service
Once we've activated your broadband we'll run a number of tests on your line from your telephone exchange. These will cause your speeds to go up and down, plus you might get disconnected a few times. Don't worry, this doesn't mean there's a problem. During this time is where we'll find the best balance between speed and reliability for your line. You can help the testing process by rebooting your router (switch it off and on again) three or four times over the first 10 days. You'll get better results if you can do this in the morning.

Hello there.
I don't think it makes too much of a difference.
Let us know at the end of the 10 day period and we'll test your line to make sure things are where they should be.

@Gandalf - I thought the 10 day 'stabalisation' didn't apply to a fibre connection - or have I misread the comments from the likes of Townman and others on this subject?

At the end of the 3 day period, the line test carried out to make sure speeds are correct is done automatically or do I need to contact somone?

I believe we'll send you an email automatically after 14 days to let you know of the current line speed. But feel free to drop us a post back on here too and we'll run a line test to check things out in greater detail.

I seem to recall there's actually no active DLM for the first 48hrs after provisioning and it's only after that it becomes active.
Edit - Zen seems to confirm that
