why is my high speed fibre broadband so useless with streaming services?

I have fibre broadband with plusnet (alleged speed of 76mbps) which delivers speeds in the low 70s when tested on speed tests  on my iMac, iPad and iPhone. However, we have just bought a new TV and are soon to get sky Q installed. We are currently using the iplayer, all4, netflix streaming services until then and we are becomingly increasingly frustrated as we spend most of the time buffering whilst trying to watch shows. Can someone explain to me (I'm not an IT expert) as to why my internet is so bad as if i can't watch player successfully what chance do I have of sky Q working?

Cheers
