so is there any chance of getting asp.net via mono working on the ccgi webspace

Obviously i'm in favour as don't want to learn yet another scripting language.
I don't know how well mono asp.net works or what impact it has on an apache server,
but i think it would be at least worth playing with...

In 6 months or so's time ccgi shuts down and we have to move to PAYH which supports ASP (perl based) - I don't know if that meets your requirements.

Mono (2.0+) would be very useful to me if it means I could run compiled assemblies in /cgi-bin/. Of course PN would have to configure Apache to use execution timeouts to prevent abuse, though I'm not an expert on this.

In general, if it is known to work well with Linux Plesk then we should be able to offer this, and if it doesn't we won't.
Running Mono on our platform is a possibility, although views on this vary and my perception is that it generally isn't regarded as a good idea to run Mono on shared public Plesk servers.
We can certainly add it to the list of things to investigate further, although I would say if you are looking for serious .net hosting we're not going to be able to help much - even if we could provide it we wouldn't be able to support it.
