problem with FTP to plusnet hosted web site -

This seems a dumb question, I don't seem to be able to ftp to my plus net hosted website.
I open a command prompt switch to 'my web' directory then FTP to open ftp.plus.net
I'm prompted for a username which I enter and a password (same as plusnet logon password),
then get a message saying invalid logon.
Ive tried all combinations of www.myspace.org.uk and myspace.org.uk.
tried ftpcute and nvu and get various invalid logon errors.
I moved my website from an eternal hosted organisation 3 weeks ago, for the 1st 3 days all seemed OK I could update it. then all I get is
http://webspace.plus.net/webspace_plusnet.html and am told by the help desk that the webspace is empty (about 60mbytes were transferred in)
I've raised several service tickets, but seem to be getting nowhere.
Anyone any clues on what I'm doing wrong.
I am trying to FTP from a PC on another ISP (the lady in sales said this was not a problem).

Try ftp://username@ftp.plus.net/htdocs/ with Internet Explorer

tried that, just get thrown out
also tried pasting ftp://ftp.plus.net into IE url line and entering username and password
still get thrown out

[Edit] so it should look like this: ftp://journeys:journeys124562@ftp.plus.net/htdocs/

exactly as you've posted
ftp://journeys:journeys124562@ftp.plus.net/htdocs/
but real password instead of journeys124562
just throws me straight out (actually the login screen refreshes with the username correct but requests the password again, its the same password I log into plus net with.
I'm not ftp-ing from a plus net connected PC (but I've an month;ly account so it should make no differance).
drawback is I'm currently on the other side of the globe, got clients who want to download photographs, plus net bit slow at answering the phone.

Try phoning 2:00 am UK time the Call Center won't be as busy then!

You are on a Broadband package or a paid package?
If you are on pay as you go it will not let you connect to the ftp Servers from out side

I'm on full broadband package.
'I've raised a 'ticket' about 5 days ago, that has been passed to the 'network guys' and passed back and forth, (try this try that........does seem a bit trial and error).
I replied (think it was the day before yesterday), I'll wait another 24 hours, see if there is a response, then call.

I've just tested your webspace from here and was able to log in via a command prompt and via windows explorer without any problems. Can you try again and let me know exactly what errors you get?

Just had a message via the message centre from one of your collegues (Rami) saying he has 'refreshed' something or other.
FTP now works as expected.

Midnight, excellent photograph, nice bridge although I'm not sure where it is.
The photos on my site are just places from a few of the projects I've worked on.
Its 10:30 in the morning here, tropical rain storm has just passed, about 4" or rain in the past 2 hours, so I'm at the PC for the morning.
Hopefully after lunch I'll be able to get out and get some work done.
