Ok, i've built my dive club a very basic website.
www.csac.org.uk
I want to add a forum etc but don't know where to start.
I've activated all the extras (php cgi etc) and downloaded a few free php scripts but where do i upload them to? Whats the ftp address of the cgi space?
Can someone give me a nudge in the right direction?
Ta

ccgi.plus.net, you should have received an email whe activating cgi and MySQL.
See the usertools tutorials about using ccgi and the PlusNet help pages on the same subject.
The tutorials also explain how to install phpBB forum.
In addition, the homepages server (where your www website is held) is a different server to the ccgi which has its own webspace.

If you are looking at forums try the software these forums use: http://www.simplemachines.org/
I've recently tried setting it up on ccgi and it was a doddle.

Exelent! forgot about that email.
I've logged in and the space contains a dfolder called cgi-bin.
Next problem...
I've tried the simple scrips from the email (copied into notepad and renamed, then uploaded) but it dosn't work.

Ideas?

The php script needs you to replace the database connection details with your own. Hence why it says 'host_name_here' etc
