Re: mySQL connnection headache!!!

Am I reading this correctly?  I have an automatic personal weather station and for the last 6 years, every 20 minutes, the weather software on my weather PC has inserted the current weather readings into a table on rumpus without problem (most of the time!).  As I read this thread, when rumpus and humbug are shut down early next year, the only MySQL available via PlusNet will be via the PAYH service and that will only accept calls via php on PAYH(Plesk)?
I do have a hosting account with A.N.Other and do use their MySQL, but with 6years data of nearly 50,000 observations (only ammounting to approx 45Mb), you can understand my anxiety.

If you are logged in to the PUG site - Go Here  You should see "Associate my username with this problem" at the Top right .  Clicking on this link will register your vote.
It's a difference / hang over  from a time before Priority Problems  were reported on the Portal.  If it was categorised as an idea, you would see "Vote for this item" as the text.
Some of PUGIT is due a refresh shortly Cheesy    "Real soon now" as developers are known to quote Embarrassed

Thanks Maurice,
It worked. I only hope that we now get enough votes to get this major problem sorted.

We'll certainly take another look at this one based on your comments. I doubt it will be a quick answer to be honest, but the comments aren't being ignored and we'll certainly make sure people have more than ample time to make a decision based on what we can come up with.

Ian

It's nearly a month since you said that - has a decision been reached?
A reminder if exactly what this issue is here: Some people have applications which have been running for a considerable time on CCGI which depend upon being able to connect to the database from a PC on their connection. When CCGI is retired you are going to withdraw that facility with no alternative available.

mySQL Administrator beats the pants off WebAdmin.
(Usertools seems to be bit poorly at the moment - I suggest you try later today)
