cgi form email script not working (404)

For many years, we've used the supplied form->email scripts provided by plusnet to feed back info from our site via email.  This process is still listed in the support section here http://portal.plus.net/support/webspace/form_script.shtml
However, as of recently (this last week?) it is now generating a 404 when users click "Submit".
Is this an oversight at Plusnet's end, or should I be making changes our site accordingly?

I too have noticed this problem at the beginning of the week. I raised a question about it, but unfortunately I included www in the description by mistake and the reply I got was that I had incorrectly entered it. I have replied that i wrote the script address down wrong but maintained it isn't working...I've yet to have another reply.
Hopefully someone on here can check it to see what's happened. I imagine lots of others use it also but don't realise it's currently a broken address.

I've just replicated this. Seems to affect the web counter script too. I'll pick it up when I'm back in the office tomorrow...

I'm afraid not.
If you were following the news around the time they stopped working, you can probably figure out what the reason was
Some work will be required on our part before we're able to restore access so it might be an idea to look around for alternatives in the interim.

I'm racking my brains but can't come up with anything? Unless I can host a script it won't work, any chance I can be given cgi access with my web space?

You should be able to log in here. ccgi.username.plus.com as the username (replacing 'username' with your actual username of course) and your usual password. You'll need to set a master FTP password using the relevant fields to the lower-left of the FTP Manager application.

I'm afraid that doesn't seem to be working for me - have tried various combinations of username/password.  Is it because I'm just on the "standard" web package that came as standard in with Plusnet broadband accounts years ago?

Thanks to Bob's help, I now have a cgi running on ccgi.username.plus.com
However, https access to ccgi.username.plus.com doesn't seem to work, despite the fact that it looks like various secure links are set up by default.  I rather assumed that simply https://ccgi.username.plus.com/ etc.  would suffice.  Is there something else I need to do please?

Ah, you might be out of luck, SSL isn't supported on the CGI platform 

Ah oh   I guess I'll make do for now, but it would be extremely helpful if  the forms on homepages.plus.net were sorted, as those definately did support SSL transfers, which people like.

I have tried logging in with ccgi.username.plus.com (replacing username with my real username) but it won't let me log in? Am I doing something wrong?
