Right now, all I can see is:
https://plusnet.servicestatus.net/plusnet/status - which usually says "everything's fine and we have always been at war with Oceania"
and https://plusnet.servicestatus.net/plusnet/search - which is beyond useless as you have to know the title of a service status in order to search (and wildcards don't work)
There used to be a place where you could see all the current (and recent historical) problems countrywide for the PN/OpenReach network.
There also used to be a place to enquire about one's exchange to see any recent problems there (the old usertools site, which still exists but doesn't seem to be live.)
Can we still access any or all of this information ?
(Its really useful to be able to do so when experiencing a problem as it can avoid having to raise a fault ticket unnecessarily)

Via the search method (2nd link) I simply select All in the State box and choose weeks, months or year for the Last Updated and read through the results.
Regarding the exchange checker, the only one I now know of, but it's current and not historic, is this:
https://www.homeandbusiness.openreach.co.uk/help-support/local-network-status-checker
I'd like to see a method to check current and historic reports per cabinet too.
(maybe Plusnet can sort one out? - Openreach must have the data)

That seems to be only for BT business accounts.
It doesn't recognise my home phone number as valid.
but thanks

True, but most network faults are going to affect business and residential alike.

But that's no help if you are not a bt business customer.
If you have a residential service, that link is entirely useless.

The old UserTools site was run and maintained by PUG (Plusnet UserGroup) but access was removed some time back and has been dormant ever since. It will be removed at some point, but given the current range of known problems is not high on the priority list.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
