What are the new CCGI directories "secure" and "private" for ?

The title says it all really. I've looked around for definitive answer to the question but haven't found one.
So, what are the purposes of each directory provided on the Hostopia platform and, can any unwanted ones be deleted ?

The /private directory is used to hold phpMyAdmin configuration data. /secure is to support https access (becoming a link to /public) which isn't configured for us.
I regard both as system directories not to be used for user files, and not deleted.or renamed.

That's what I guessed. It's a shame there is no documentation on the file structure.
My private directory contains a 48MB mysqldump that I guess was used to load my database. It isn't a problem right now, but if space ever becomes an issue, do you think it would be ok delete that, as it's using up almost 10% of my space ?

Assuming your database is now OK you can delete that dump file.
You should take your own database dumps as often as appropriate. I use Adminer (http://www.adminer.org/) for this. gzipped files should be less then 20% of their uncompressed size.

That's a handy tool - I never knew about that one. I've just added it to my box of tricks. It was a great opportunity for me to digress from what I should be doing  Cheesy
