Webspace not viewable

I have several documents on my space which are viewable from within SmartFTP, yet when I go to my space I am presented with the "welcome page".
Any ideas?

PlusNet have a default welcome page (index.html) added to your webspace when the account is created. If you remove that file from your htdocs directory you should get a directory listing.
It is there to stop people finding out what files you have in your webspace. A blank index.html page will stop directory listings as well.

Just to check - you did put the files in the htdocs directory (not the directory you see when the FTP first connects)?
