Webspace Directory Listing

I recently found out that my Plusnet webspace has directory listing turned on, although the default is off.  I asked the support team to turn it off for me and they said that they cannot do it -  I would have to do it myself.
Does anyone know how to turn of directory listing in their webspace?

You should be able to do it using htaccess.
Create a text file containing the following:

Options -Indexes

Upload it to the htdocs directory of your webspace and then rename it .htaccess (note the dot at the start of the filename).
That should probably do the trick.

Tried it on my account and it broke access to my webspace

IndexIgnore *

Tried the above instead though and that seems to have had the desired effect.
