I was just wondering who uses what to build their websites, and how easy the application was. I've tried a few of them out there, but unless your willing to spend a few pennies, the free ones always seem to fall a bit short of the mark. So come on, what do you use ?

Since I wanted to use CSS I finished up building mine from scratch but CoffeeCup seemed quite good as an HTML editor

I have been using CuteHTML Pro for almost a year now and find it quite good as a HTML editor that "holds your hand" and provides an instant preview of any changes made.
It does cost though - about £25 to download from GlobalScape at current exchange rates, you can try it for free though -

I've always used notepad for my coding and CSS, then at the end put it into Dreamweaver to see what the end result looks like in that.
Depending on how quick you could get your website finished, I'm sure you can get a free trial of Dreamweaver.

I use NetObjects Fusion 9 (I started with version 7) simply because it was given away free with a magazine DVD. I have not updated my site for some time now I really should do as my domain has expired and I’ve changed to a new free one from the offer  :-[.
It comes with a load of templates either installed or downloaded from their website, and is pretty easy to use even for a ‘Design Challenged’ person like me. It also has it’s own built in FTP transfer tool and can upload the whole site or just pages you modify. There are quite a few tools built in to build picture galleries, E Commerce sites and data lists. The only downside is you cannot download from the site you can only get it from a magazine DVD. Well worth a look if you can get hold of a copy.

Well i have no knowledge of web design or PHP, a friend suggexted i try one of the many CMS softwares out there, so i'll take a look. Anyone had any experience of these. i'm looking at CMS Made Simple at the moment, i heard php-nuke was rubbish and buggy?
