Re: Website broken following migration to greenby

I definitely don't have an org.uk domain, or indeed any domain on Plusnet. An odd thing that happens is that when I type www.jillgoulder.plus.com/green into a browser, a completely unknown site 'markgreen.org.uk' comes up - definitely not mine! All rather alarming! Hope you can help - thanks!

This is what comes up if I type www.jillgoulder.plus.com/green. It is not my site! This is what comes up if I type www.jillgoulder.plus.com/green. It is not my site!

Re: Website broken following migration to greenby

Works fine here - as it did yesterday.

I would suspect an issue with your browser very unhelpfully trying to force https://

@plusnettony  - is this relevant?

> www.jillgoulder.plus.com

Non-authoritative answer:

Re: Website broken following migration to greenby

I've raised it to our network team as I can't see why it's happening.

(other tested sites look normal)

Re: Website broken following migration to greenby

@plusnettony @Townman @JillG
Would it be possible to move JillG's problem to a separate thread as it does not appear to be related to the migration to Greenby.
I still cannot see any changes to my website even though I've FTPed the pages to the correct place. It would be good to have an update on this.
My greenby ticket is no 1674 and the person investigating does not seem to be very knowledgeable .

Re: Website broken following migration to greenby

Yes, happy to be moved if someone knows how? (plusnettony?) My email is being migrated to Greenby, but my webspace is separately lost in limbo

The mods will look after the change of the thread.

The webspace issue is still being looked at.

It now looks like the FTP problem has been fixed and my changes are showing on the website.

Re: Website broken following migration to greenby

Hello Tony - Have you found out where the mysterious .org.uk website on my account is coming from? This is alarming! Is there a way of removing it?
I recently tried to access www.jillgoulder.plus.com/green on a different device and a different location/router - still the same problem. I got an alert that the location was unsafe, and when I clicked to go ahead anyway, it went to the alien .org.uk page.
I then googled my site and got it to come up OK, and once I'd done that I could type the URL in directly with success during the same session, i.e. the system/cache had 'learnt' where to go.
But I still get the problem every time I start from scratch.

And now a major new problem:  I'm wanting to put a 'This page has moved to' notice on this page, pointing to a non-Plusnet domain. But now a worse problem: I can't get FTP to work. Here's what I got on Filezilla:
Status: Resolving address of ftp.plus.net
Status: Connecting to 91.204.210.10:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status: Insecure server, it does not support FTP over TLS.
Command: USER jillgoulder
Response: 331 Password required for jillgoulder
Command: PASS *******
Response: 530 Login incorrect.
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server
Status: Disconnected from server

Please help! At worst, could I send you the files so that you can put it on?

Eagerly waiting to hear - thanks!
