Hello
I am trying to move a domain name that is hosted by PlusNet. The provider I am trying to move to (Godaddy) says that I need to unlock the domain.
The domain wasn't bought through plusnet. I got it many years ago through a reseller who I think resells on behalf of Enom. I renewed it through the resellers site a year or so ago.
I've tried contacting the reseller but no response and now the resellers rather basic maintenance and support page is unresponsive. I'm trying to figure out who I need to request an unlock from. Is it Plusnet, the reseller (or in the resellers absence - Enom).
Grateful for any guidance.

You need to do a whois enquiry on the domain as that will tell you the registrar.
Chances are, given your explanation, that it's eNom and you'll need to contact them.

If we're just hosting it, you just need to change the DNS (via Enom or who you bought it from) from ours, and then let us know and we'll delete it from our database.
A full transfer is a bit more complex, but it does sounds like it's Enom that you need.
