Transfer Domain IN

Hi
I designed a website for a friend and keep it updated using CoreFTP. However i have lost the FTP settings (user, pass etc.) It is currently hosted by 123-reg.co.uk who are aboslutely useless and wont give me the details.
I want to transfer the domain AWAY from them so i can use PLUSNET to host it. Can this be done easily and free?
All help is greatly appreciated.

You can leave the domain registered with 123-reg and have the domain managed by PlusNet. 123's domain registration fees are cheaper than plusnet's. It also means you aren't tying your domains to your ISP.
