Hello, I game online and my contract with virgin is up, the download speeds are brilliant but the ping spikes and packet loss make me not want to renew, whats plus net like for online gaming? Would anyone recommend them? I'm looking at the 74mb unlimited fibre deal.

Welcome to the forum.
I fear that the answer is akin to "how long is a piece of string". Plusnet is part of BT and use their infrastructure. How good your connection will be is dependent on your local infrastructure, the number of users on your fibre cabinet and upstream equipment etc.

@Greendore If you put your address in the DSL Checker, you will get a better idea of the speeds you are likely to get - ultimately your speeds will depend on how far away you are from your cabinet.

No it's dreadful. Is there no fibre offering? What speeds are you currently getting?

With the info you have posted from DSL checker suggest fibre is not available to you.
What does it say here when you put your postcode in.
You could always start the PN sign up online to see if it offers you fibre.
I have PN 80/20 have no problems with gaming.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I recommend Plusnet because they are a helpful bunch especially on this forum.
I have been with plusnet for nearly 4 years and like a few others i have had issues but plusnet has always resolved them.
Hope this helps!

"Great news, Superfast fibre is in your area."
I know I have fibre as I use to have BT infinity fibre I dont understand why that website thinks I dont have it.
