US ip address

Looks like i'm not the only one with this problem.
Just joined Plusnet on Friday and our broadband ip address is showing as being in Minneapolis, US. Have called customer support twice and first time I was advised that this is a known issue and I just need to factory reset the router until I get a UK ip address but after 25 factory resets i've given up. Second time I called they'd never heard of this issue and can't see any trace of it on the forums which is interesting as the last 2 posts are showing the same issue. Was advised to post here in case anyone knew how to fix it but can see posts dating back to 2014 with the same issue saying that the only way they could fix it was to get a static ip which apparently isn't an option anymore.
All of our streaming services are showing US libraries and giving US pharmaceutical advertisements, all my search engine searches give US responses, for example I google Tesco and only get results for Target and Wal-Mart.
We don't have a VPN and i've never had this issue with any other ISP.
IP address is 150.143.xx.
Have never had this issue with any other ISP before.

A factory reset will not get you a different IP address. Switch the router off for 2 hours and reconnect. A dynamic IP address can be fairly sticky over short time frames.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

I'm having the exact same problems since yesterday evening (18/8/25) and looking at the forums, we're not the only ones. Unfortunately whilst the IP address is allocated by PlusNet and it's registered as a UK address, it appears the streaming services (Netflix and Disney+) are using outdated location information.
I suspect it's one of those that'll get batted back and forth with Netflix et al blaming the ISP and vice versa.

Looking at the IP via https://www.iplocation.net/ip-lookup it would seem that most ( 9 out of 10 ) geolocation providers correctly report the location as UK, except for iplocate.io !.

Having the same problem here, when using Fast.com as recmommended by Netflix, my IP shows as being in Minneapolis (?!). Every other IP query site I've checked shows it's in the UK.
I suspect this will be one of those issues where Netflix et al will blame the ISP even though it's down to them not having up to date location data for IPs.

With the world running out of IPv4 addresses it is inevitable that any unused ones are transferred across borders. This means that the multitude of international geolocation databases have to be continually updated.
I have checked the IP addresses of all the reportees on this thread against 11 geolocation databases. With the exception of the one database, they all correctly locate the IP address to be UK based.
The problem has been escalated by a SU to Plusnet. In the meantime, it appears that it is only affecting US streaming sites. Switching off the hub for several hours might result in those affected picking up a different IP address, but is not guaranteed.

Same problem here, netflix and Disney think I'm in the US. Factory resetting the router hasn't helped.
Please add me to the ticket.

Just to throw my hat in the ring also.
ITVX and Disney Plus think I'm in the US. ITVX is refusing to play live TV and DisneyPlus showing the US library.
IP of:150.143.46.1xx
Rebooted/disconnected but still get the same IP assigned. Will probably leave it off overnight.

Don’t you mean: I’m not going to unplug my router?
Ah, I see, you’re risking losing the Disney connection in the hope of getting a different IP address.
