Looking for detailed steps to best practice for security using Plusnet.
For example, is it best practice to..?
- change password on router
- hide SSID
- get latest router firmware updates
- other
There must be a heap of things recommended. If there are guides already, please supply links. If it's a good idea to have a guide to best practice, let's have the discussion here to create it.
I'm no techy but I am competent to follow instructions. I welcome knowledgeable help. Thanks.

I suggest testing for open ports using GRC's ShieldsUP! page.

Check the manual for your router to see if any useful security features need to be specifically enabled.
