Scam Engineer?

Hi, my girlfriend let today engineer to place she live in. He said that her roommate booked a visit (He gave her full name), he did something with phone and left. Then after contacting with roommate she said that she never booked anyone. So i've called BT and they said that no one was booked for that place. Do you guys think i should report it to police?

Re: Scam Engineer?

Hi magnitudo    I used to work for an electricity supplier ex electricity board before I retired

All employees of electricity/gas/telephone companies have ID cards with a photograph and a contact phone number.

We were only occasionally asked to show our ID cards to prove we were  genuine.

My advice is always ask to see their ID ask what the visit is about job number etc and if you are not sure don't let them it and check with the company
