SQL version update?

Hey all,
I'm trying to update a database i've got but the new version i'm trying to update to needs to be MySQL 4.1.16 or higher and php 4.3 or newer.
When i run the database updater it tells me MySQL is 4.1.11.
Looking in my admin panel i can see that the server version is 4.1.11-Debian_4sarge7 and it also says under MyPHPadmin that MySQL client version is 5.0.32
Is there any way i can actually update my database to a higher version of MySQL ?
Hope you can help  Huh

EDIT:  Just read in another post that both Rumpus and Humbug are running version 4.1.XX and are to be updated to the latest 5 in the not too distant future.  Is there any update on this?
Thanks
Iain

Re: SQL version update?

I am in a similar boat to you. but with PHP.
I am running a site with PHPNuke at the moment and would prefer to use MediaWiki, but MediaWiki is OK with MySQL 4.0 but needs PHP 5 Sad
Please +net when ?Huh

Hi there,
This is covered here:

The current servers will not be upgraded to PHP5. However when CGI gets rebuilt at some point then it will be there as standard. This is not currently on the development roadmap so no firm dates for implementation can be offered.
