Return of router etc

Hi,

my contract has just ended and I am looking to recycle my used equipment. I see BT offer a free returns service but not Plusnet? Are they not part and parcel of the same company? Not very eco friendly to encourage folks to ditch their old equipment?

Re: Return of router etc

Hi Eileen

I`ve just joined Plusnet from EE which is I believe part of the same group and they also have free returns for used equipment, strange that plusnet do not.

I'm sure some one will be along shortly to give you some more information.

Paul

Re: Return of router etc

From other posts I've seen on this forum all you have to do is contact PN and they'll provide you with an envelope/bag in which to return your used PN equipment.  One of the staff will no doubt confirm in due course whether this is still so.

Re: Return of router etc

This thread is fairly recent (Oct. 2019) and confirms what I said above.

Re: Return of router etc

Plusnet have given me a WEEE address to return equipment to, no envelope and customer pays postage!

Not good in this day and age and considering other companies all seem to be encouraging customers to recycle?

Not a very environmental attitude! Reckon a lot will go in landfill!

I will get mine to the local WEEE recycling.

Re: Return of router etc

Thanks for your post @Floramac If your account is cancelled already then I'm afraid we've currently no option to send a free returns bag, we'll take your feedback on board though.

Apart from recycling your router yourself in an environmentally friendly way by going to a WEEE recycling point as outlined Here to return this to us without paying a postage fee you can print a returns label direct from the Royal Mail website here: https://www.royalmail.com/track-my-return/create/2886

We'll then recycle this for you on your behalf.

I hope this helps.

Re: Return of router etc

Thanks for the respnse.

It would be a good idea to send out return envelopes as standard when a contract ends, as per other companies?
