Plusnet Protect - A requirment

I've just read the T&Cs that came with the notice of my Unlimited Fibre which starts today.

What alarms me is this bit.

. Plusnet Protect must be kept for at least 30 days.

This appears to be a requirement that I put on a McAfee product on my machine.   There was no mention of this when I rang up for fibre and there is no way that I would remove my current malware suite for this one.

What does this requirement mean?

Is this something that Plusnet hope that I overlook and so can charge me extra per month?

Can someone advise me what this means please?

As a new customer Plusnet protect is free for first 3 months the £2 a month https://www.plus.net/home-broadband/protect/

There is no requirement for you to use it and you can uninstall at any time , the 30 days would refer to your billing cycle

Thanks.  I will put a note in my diary to do something towards the end of June.

It's not the £2 that I object paying: it's the two pounds going towards a McAfee product that I object.

As said earlier Plusnet Protect is an option for you to install and use if desired. There is no requirement to download or install it but if you do it has to be kept for 30 days.

If you prefer to provide your own protection that's fine.

From what I can see Plusnet Protect isn't added to your account so you don't need to worry about being charged for it.

. Plusnet Protect must be kept for at least 30 days.

This basically means that it's added and removed on your billing date if requested.
