Plusnet Free Website space - Access problem

I have a website http://www.nemosphotography.co.uk/  hosted on Plusnet FREE WEBSITE SPACE.

I want to do some updating and other work on it... but have forgotten the user name & password..

Is there any way that PN can give me a "reminder" so that I can again access it via the FTP client ?

Re: Plusnet Free Website space - Access problem

@shutter

It's ages since I played around with my PN free webspace and haven't got my present FTP client set up with the details needed to login, but ISTR that many years ago we had to use the same password for everything, i.e. Internet connection, email and FTP.

That may well have changed or I could be plain wrong.

Probably a silly question, but have you tried your standard password?

Re: Plusnet Free Website space - Access problem

@shutter

Just a followup ...

I just successfully logged in to my PN webspace using the following;

Host;   ftp.plus.net

Username:   My plusnet 'accountname'

Password:    My 'standard' PN password

Edit:   Although perhaps it's different for hosted sites such as the one you refer to in your OP   Undecided

Re: Plusnet Free Website space - Access problem

@RobPN AFAIK ftp access to the free website space is always via the main account username and pw. If a domain is pointed to it it makes no difference.

@shutter the ftp details are shown in the member centre under manage account, manage your web space,  standard web space ( unless it ccgi space! )

Re: Plusnet Free Website space - Access problem

@MisterW  & @RobPN  Thanks for your input.... I just got home , and see your responses... so I tried it... but not gaining access..

ftp failed.jpg

and checking on the Quickconnect down arrow...

 ftp error.png

Even if I uses   ftp.nemosphotography.co.uk

ftp nemo fail.jpg

So... it`s looking like I have a "password problem"....( although I have not changed it since I started with PN ! ! !  )
