When I signed up for a further 2 years of PlusNet Broadband, I was sent a £50 prepaid Mastercard from plusnet.purecard.com. I checked there was definitely £50 credit on the card when I registered it (a couple of weeks ago).
Armed with the correct PIN, I tried to make a £30 purchase in a local supermarket. The card just sat there. I tried the correct PIN a second time with the same result, so gave up and paid with my usual AMEX.
I checked the PIN I'd used was correct on arrival home and attempted to use the email facility offered by purecard, com to ask about the problem. The email was refused as there was a problem accepting emails at that time. I tried a couple more times and concluded that maybe they too were with Greenby.
To save more messing about, the card's £50 was then paid it into my gas and electricity supplier online. My contract with them ends soon and they are quick to refund surplus, so I'm hoping the card works with them.
Having had over 20 years of good service from Plusnet, it's gone to the dogs. No VOIP, a [-Censored-] email transfer to Greenby, a prepaid card that wouldn't work and emails to its provider that don't work.
I'm approaching the end of my life, so this type of [-Censored-] that seems to pervade everywhere these days will be left behind, but I feel regret for the family and others I'll leave behind.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Regards. David

Hi there @DaveLanks
I'm really sorry you've had this experience when trying to use the card in the supermarket and you've had to use this with your electric and gas supplier.
If you would like to discuss the issues you've faced recently, please contact us, or if you prefer send me a private message with some more information and contact details and I will see what we can do to help.
Thanks.
Leanne.
