@jab1, no idea, sorry. I can't remember this ever being discussed before
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

No worries, @pjmarsh - it was more of a 'possible source' of the filter than anything else.

@kerrywhee - what exactly are those unable to reach your website seeing when they try?
I have just enabled the default Plusnet Safeguard filters on a broadband line I have access to (which includes the pornography category), and am unable to replicate the problem.
I can browse successfully to your website, yet cannot browse to expected adult-classified sites. This is confirmed by a DNS lookup.
Your website returns the expected list of server IPs: -
>nslookup www.houseofminerva.com 213.120.234.42
Server: indnsc92.ukcore.bt.net
Address: 213.120.234.42
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: ext-sq.squarespace.com
Addresses: 198.185.159.144
198.49.23.145
198.49.23.144
198.185.159.145
Aliases: www.houseofminerva.com
However a site with known adult content returns the IP of our filtering platform (81.130.111.239): -
>nslookup xxx.com 213.120.234.42
Server: indnsc92.bt.net
Address: 213.120.234.42
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: xxx.com
Address: 81.130.111.239
If your site was being blocked by the Plusnet content filters then I'd expect it to return the same IP as seen directly above (and it doesn't).

I don't have a plusnet account, I've had notifications from people trying to access my website who use plusnet saying it's been blocked as it's been categorised as pornography?
I may be asking a silly question here, but it has just occurred to me - how have people been able to contact the OP - unless they know her contact details personally, as they would have to access the site to find the information?

I'm assuming the convo went along the lines of "Hi joe blogs, have a looked at my new site it's awesome right!" The reply to which was "I can't, it says it's blocked I'm with Plusnet"
Further more, as safeguard is promoted to parents shown on our site here "Plusnet SafeGuard is our online Parental Control tool" I would expect it to be vigilant and cautious, after all it wouldn't be too far fetched to say that someone hosting a site today doesn't show inappropriate content but tomorrow does. I'd expect it's working to be a kept secret.
Like @bobpullen said though, it looks like it's working so we could do with more info from whoever said it's being blocked. It might not have been Safeguard related and was some other parental control service blocking it.

@James30 yes, I understand how SafeGuards work, the problem is though that there is nothing on my website that people should been to be SafeGuarded from. It's a graphic design agency website, and I have no intention of it showing adult content now or in the future.
It's being categorised as 'pn_pornography' which it most definitely is not, so I'm wondering how I can get this categorisation changed. Is it your SafeGuarding controls that are categorising the site as porn, and if so why?
I have attached the screengrab that your customers have been receiving when trying to access my site.

Though as said earlier, other providers are classifying it the same as well:
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Strange, @pjmarsh . I can't see how it can be classed as anything pornographic. I'll have a look more closely at it a little later, but my initial look, not long after the topic was raised certainly didn't make me raise my eyebrows - or anything else. 😀
EDIT: Absolutely nothing on there could even be remotely described as 'pornographic'.

Sorry, must have missed that, @pjmarsh - so it is 'location base' rather than content. A little more difficult to resolve, and way above my experience.

Hi all,
Thanks so so much for looking in to this, if it is the above, then who do I need to contact to get it sorted?
Sorry a lot of this is waaaay over my head. I'm a graphic designer by nature, work on Squarespace and get domains from 123 reg and then move over when all is built to Sqaurespace too most of the time as they encourage you to have it all in one place. That's as far as my experience goes.
Thanks
Kerry
