PHP over SSL for Wordpress login

I think this chestnut is very old and over roasted, but I thought I'd ask the question again, just in case things had changed, or were going to change anytime soon.
I've installed Wordpress in my ccgi server space, but I'm not comfortable about logging in over clear HTTP as this tends to result in sites being hacked at some point.
So, is there a way of securing Wordpress login on PlusNet's CGI server?  If not, is anyone else happily using Wordpress on PlusNet and not getting hacked?
Cheers,
David

Do you have a fixed IP? Does Wordpress allow to set up log-in from a certain IP only?

Re: PHP over SSL for Wordpress login

IMO SSH is a bit overkill for a wordpress site anyway.  Back up your site regularly and change your password regularly and even if it does get hacked it won't take 5 mins to get it back up and runninga anyway.
