Maybe I missed something, maybe it's amongst the direct debit notifications, or the VAT increase information, or maybe mixed in with the John Lewis voucher promotion......
Surely something as important as a platform update that could render my website disabled would warrant a quick email?
OK my website isn't going to set the world on fire, maybe I do only get 1 hit a year and that's me checking it's still there, but it's my website and it is now broken again, through no fault of my own.
Why has Plusnet CGI always been 10 times more painful than hosting elsewhere?

I cannot believe you are saying that given the amount of information that was put out about the upgrade!
If you don't read emails and service status announcements I don't see how you can fairly blame Plusnet.

You have opted out of notifications, you can opt in via http://my.plus.net > Email Settings > Email Communications Preference.
