Non-teccy advice needed on navigation buttons

OK, so I've managed to build a reasonably good-looking website with NVU but I don't like the amateurish html navigation facility it offers.
By chance, I came across this website  http://www.thesitewizard.com/wizards/css-menu-buttons.shtml . It offers free css navigation buttons.
Trouble is, I don't know  whether they will work under the PN hosting arrangements. I'm not at all technically-minded so I'm really struggling to follow the hosting and domain discussions on here.  What do you experts think, please?
On a slightly separate point, the PN advice about SSL security for a PN-hosted website seems desperately confusing and contradictory to a layperson like me. It seems to suggest that I can't use SSL security on my plusnet hosted website. Then it seems to suggest how to do it! Then it seems to indicate that I cant use CGI scripts with SSL but then it seems to suggest it is possible. Where can I find simple to understand, tailored advice about PN-hosted websites if I can't get it from raising a ticket?

Non teccy answer - Yes to the first question
For the second question. I assume that you currently don't have Plusnet webspace and it is no longer available for free. Why would you want to use Plusnet web hosting

Re: Non-teccy advice needed on navigation buttons

Thanks Oldjim - that's good to know.  Can I assume that the css script  (is that the right terminology?) for these nav buttons can be incorporated into the same file as the html script? My severely limited understanding of earlier and broader  correspondence led me to conclude there might be issues in so doing...
Re your response to my second q... yes, I do have plusnet webspace. Currently it harbours a "temporary" website that I set up pending the current website that I hope to launch by next week as a superior replacement.

Re: Non-teccy advice needed on navigation buttons

The easy answer is that it should but not having seen the output from the wizard I can't be sure.
Why not try it and check for yourself
Or you could write your own code like this http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/forms/_BUTTON.html or http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_button.asp

Thanks Oldjim  Smiley  will follow your suggestions (although your confidence in my coding abilities is much greater than mine Wink )
