Wordpress.com has a page on how to Map a Subdomain.
They also have instuctions to Map an Existing Domain, however, it seems less useful and I don't believe that it's possible with PlusNet (no way to change the nameserver).
To configure the domain from PlusNets side, you'll need to login to the portal and configure the domain via the 'Domain Names' page.

You'll need to Configure your domain, then Configure DNS records, this is where you add the CNAME entry mentioned in step 1 of the wordpress instructions.
for example: Creating a new DNS record
will result in blog.yourdomain.com going to yourblog.wordpress.com.

Left Field | Type | Right Field |
blog | CNAME | yourblog.wordpress.com |
will result in blog.yourdomain.com going to yourblog.wordpress.com.

I think a trailing dot would be needed on the right hand side of the right field to stop yourdomain.com being added.
Alternatively do you have CGI space with Plusnet where you could install WordPress yourself?
