Network devices coming and going every few seconds

When viewing File Explorer on my Win10 laptop, the Network section shows my computer and devices but the keep changing every second or 2. My NAS is there - and then its not. Likewise with the PNHUB1. Makes my NAS vry difficult.

I've only been with Plusnet for a week or 2. Is this a router fault? Laptop and NAS connected by ethernet cables, everything else by wifi.

Any help appreciated

I can't help but will watch for replies. 

My £2000 dell laptop stays connected but; alexa, the HP laptop and everyone's phones drop on and off with regularity .

we've tried the  2.4  and 5 GHz separation by changing the names . That hasn't worked.

Ive changed the 20 year old BT faceplate a few days ago for a Mk5 that helped a lot but after a week seems not to be the answer.

Welcome to Win10 networks.

Mine has always done this regardless of which computer I'm using.

If you need access to your NAS it's probably better if you map a drive to it and knowing the network path when setting it up will help. It will always work using THISPC rather than network..

i @imsi Look at the2.4-5Ghz group on the forum as this may help, probably will need a firmware update if it is on 263.

Oh dear how depressing!

I looked up

It just gets worse. I am starting to advertise locally to see if I can find such a thing as someone that can come to the property and sort this out.

Wifi shouldnt be a hobby. 

Feels like we actually need legal tips how to get out of the contract. I think I was tricked into mine when they sent the hub one router free of charge.

My Lodger fitted virgin rather than use my plusnet free of charge.
