MySQL databases are in Read-Only mode

Does anyone have any info on this and where i can go for help.
I have two PHP websites using MySQL at the back end and both are reporting the same problem this morning so me thinks it is a MySQL problem not something i have done.
The two sites are totally unrelated and independent of each other.
a typical error message when accessing the database through the PHPMyAdmin interface is:
#1 - Can't create/write to file '/tmp/#sql_4bb_0.MYI' (Errcode: 30)

The sort of message shown in my own website is:
: Table 'tbl_smf_members' is read only
/var/www/vhosts/<mydomain>.co.uk/httpdocs/tameside/forum/Sources/Subs.php
631

Can anyone help?

Same problem -  have submitted a ticket to PN. CGI site appears to be OK for me - its only the PAYH hosted databases as far as my own sites are concerned.

It's due to the same issues we've just posted a service status about, I've dropped a quick post on www.servicestatus.net too.
