We run a MySQL database hosted by PlusNet that uses Full Text Index Searches. One of the default options on a MySQL database is the the minimum word length for a Full Text Search is 4 characters. This means that the Full Text Index will only contain words that are 4 characters or more. Unfortunately, one of our main search strings on our website is 'ILM', but because of the default option, it is never found.
This behaviour can be changed by modifying the 'ft_min_word_len' system variable, so the question is does anyone know if you can modify the system variables on the MySQL database stored on PlusNet?
Many thanks in advance,
