I am trying to get my webspace recognised by My Network Places in XP (SP2). Working through the "Add Network Place Wizard" I finish up being told the place is not acessible and that I might not have permission to use the network resource and to contact the administrator to find out if I have access permissions. I am the administrator. Finally the notice tells me that the Network path was not found.
If I want to use FP extensions webspace then there seems to be no problem. As I want to make the space available to people without FP I would welcome any help and advice.
Thanks.

Are you using ftp://ftp.plus.net/ as the address?

You might want to keep ftp sites out of "my network places". Windows XP seems to "prod" ftp sites when explorer refreshes and IMO it can make things very laggy.
By all means put FTP shortcuts elsewhere but not MNP or Desktop.
