Moving hosting and domain from Plusnet (ex-customer query)

Hi all,
I am currently helping my cousin move her domain from Plusnet as she is no longer running the business, but wants to retain the domain name. She terminated the service with Plusnet as this was used on her send line to the office. We have set up the domain with a new host but now need to transfer the domain. Since we can't log into the user area to change the IPSTAG, does she need to ring Plusnet to get this changed manually so that the transfer can take place.
Regards
TLE

Normally the new host deals with this, unless it's been locked.
What do you see if you do a whois?

Whois shows that Plusnet is still the nameserver. We need to change the IPS tag in order to complete the transfer. I have asked her to contact support.

Whois shows that Plusnet is still the nameserver.

You'll probably need to change the DNS servers through the admin tools at the new hosting service anyway, once you have control there.
How the tag changes depends on which domain group/registrar it is in.
e.g. is it .co.uk or .com or something else?
As I said, usually the receiving host deals with this for you.
