Moving 850GB from PC to NAS drive

What is the best way to move files from PC hdd to a NAS drive, copy over network, USB hdd backup and restore or something else?

Most defininitely copy over the network PROVIDING both NAS and PC are connected to the router via Ethernet cables.

Alternatively a possibly even faster way is to remove one of your NAS drives and install it in your PC using the fastest SATA port in your computer. Do an internal transfer to this disk then put it into your NAS and rebuild the array.

and that both have Gigagbit connections to the router/switch

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Everything is connected by cables to a 1GB switch
